How do I check if my Android device supports eSIM?

Determining whether your device is eSIM-compatible can vary depending on the manufacturer and your region's availability. That's why we maintain a comprehensive list of eSIM Supported Devices to simplify the checking process.

Android operates on an open-source system, allowing mobile device manufacturers and carriers to customize it. As a result, there may be models released without eSIM capability in certain countries or regions. Additionally, your device's carrier may not have enabled the eSIM feature.

Follow the steps below to check if your Android device supports eSIM technology. Please keep in mind the steps may or may not be applicable to your device. The most reliable method to confirm eSIM compatibility is still through your device manufacturer, vendor, or primary carrier.

Steps for Samsung devices:

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone.

  2. Tap on "Connections" from the list of options.

  3. Select "SIM Manager" from the menu.

  4. Check if it says "Add eSIM".

If the “Add eSIM” is available, it should mean that your device supports eSIMs.

Steps for Google Pixel devices:

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone.

  2. Tap on "Network & Internet" from the list of options.

  3. Tap the "+" sign beside SIMs.

If all of these steps are successful, your Google Pixel is eSIM capable.
